Based in central London, Tempo are a recruitment business that specialise in temporary staffing for hospitality and customer service roles. As an established digital-first SME they have an internal back-end development team responsible their custom recruitment platform, and also have a small internal marketing team.
Tempo engaged us to design a new website that focused on increasing lead generation for two of their key target audiences; prospective employees, and paying businesses looking to recruit.
To deliver on this we needed to create a clear user experience that would immediately resonate with job seekers and employers from innovative businesses.

With a young demographic, and with Google declaring that it ranks website mobile-first, it was more important than ever to make sure that Tempo’s new website was highly optimised to perform on mobile.
We had a great opportunity with Tempo to really create an exciting and vibrant design by focusing on taking their brand to the next level. To achieve this we looked at design considerations such as the use of colour, shape and form, as well as the interaction of the buttons and the use of jumbo typography. The result is a visually engaging website that stands out as unique; but is also effective in aligning and resonating with their target audiences.
We collaborated with Tempo to expand their custom typeface for use within their website banners.
We used Tempo’s brand pattern across the site to create movement and add depth.
Fun call to actions
To drive user conversions we removed the footer and made the call to action interactive with arrows that follow you across the screen.
Custom API integration
Tempo have built a custom app to manage the recruitment process; we integrated the custom API into their WordPress website for a seamless customer experience.
